I designed my UGLee pen to be the best pen available for ergonomics in the workplace, and even at home and in school. What is “ergonomics?” Ergonomics is the “science of designing the job, equipment and workplace to fit the worker.” Proper ergonomic design, the scientists have shown, is important because it prevents repetitive strain injuries which, over time, can lead to long-term disability.
My UGLee pen could be called the ergonomic pen, the arthritis pen, the comfort pen – but certainly not the ugly pen! UGLee stands for Ultra Grip Lee – the “Lee” is me, Dr. James Lee, the UGLee pen’s designer and inventor. When I was in medical school my hands would ache and cramp after a day’s furious note-taking, and no pen I tried – and believe me, I tried every one on the market from cheap ones clear up to the super-expensive fancy ones – worked for me. So, since “necessity is the mother of invention” I got busy and invented the doctor’s pen. And it’s now become the nurse pen, the teacher pen, the youngster-learning-to-write pen – a true comfort grip pen for everyone on the planet who writes.
The difference between my pen and all others is, first of all, the ink. It has the smoothest ink system that has so far been created, smoother, even, than any roller ball, gel ink, or fountain ink pen. Since no extra force or stress is needed to push the ink out of the pen, this smoothly flowing ink actually makes the pen feel like it’s an extension of your hand.
Secondly, the pen’s shape is engineered to follow the anatomy of your hand, and, along with its detailed contours, this allows the pen to actually grip you. Gone are the days of squeezing a pen, grasping it in a clamp with your fingers, or otherwise grappling with a handgrip that causes undue stress and strain on the muscles, ligaments and tendons of the hand.
You probably didn’t even know you were doing this with other pens, did you? Discover the difference between the UGLee pen and other pens you have – try one and then the other and you’ll notice immediately how relaxed your hand actually is with the UGLee pen.
